Manage Access Grants

Access grants in AIOZ W3S Storage allow you to control who can perform specific actions (Read, Write, List, Delete) on your storage resources. This tutorial will guide you through the process of creating and deleting access grants for your AIOZ W3S Storage, similar to AWS S3.

Create Access Grants

Access grants are defined using access control policies that you can attach to your AIOZ W3S Storage resources.

This step-by-step guide will walk you through the process of creating a new access grant in AIOZ W3S Storage, providing specific details for each step.

Step 1: Choose type and enter Access Grant details

  1. Choose Type:
    • Select between S3 Credentials or CLI/API Key. In this example, S3 Credentials will be selected.
    • Enter the name of the access grant.

Step 1

Step 2: Parameters

  1. Select Bucket:
    • Choose the specific bucket to which the access grant will be applied.
  2. Enter Bucket Passphrase:
    • Enter your bucket's passphrase.
  3. Select Member Permissions:
    • Choose the desired permission level: All, Read, Write, List, or Delete. Selecting All grants Read, Write, List, and Delete permissions.
  4. Choose Access End Date:
    • Select the access expiration duration from options: 24 hrs, 1 week, 1 month, 6 months, or 1 year.

Step 2

Step 3: Confirmation

  1. Access Grant Details:
    • Review all the information you've entered, including the access grant name, selected bucket, permissions, and access end date.
  2. Confirm:
    • Click "Next" to confirm the access grant setup.

Step 3

Step 4: Credentials

  1. Credentials:
    • You will be provided with an Access Key, Secret Key, and Endpoint that will be used to access the designated bucket.
  2. Choose Action:
    • Choose either "Copy All" to copy the credentials to your clipboard, or "Download" to save them as a file.
  3. Encryption Passphrase Notice:
    • Read and acknowledge the checkbox confirming that AIOZ does not store or know encryption passphrases. The passphrase is essential for file access.
  4. Finish:
    • Click "Finish" to complete the process.

Step 4

By following these steps, you will have successfully created a new access grant in AIOZ W3S Storage. The provided credentials will allow you to interact with the designated bucket according to the specified permissions and access end date. Remember to keep your credentials secure and ensure that you have a clear understanding of the passphrase's importance for accessing your files.
